Child Safety & Reporting Policy
(Official Policy — Applies to All Users)
Purpose of This Policy
Kampus Konnect is a college-only platform designed exclusively for verified students ages 18 and older. Because the app includes dating, networking, and social interactions, protecting minors from any form of access, exploitation, or harm is a zero-tolerance priority. This Child Safety Policy outlines the standards, protections, verification systems, prohibited behaviors, enforcement actions, and reporting requirements associated with child safety on the platform.
Eligibility & Age Requirements
Kampus Konnect is strictly an 18+ community. No exceptions.
• Users must be at least 18 years old AND enrolled in a verified college, university, or technical school.
• Users must verify enrollment through a valid .edu email address or recognized institutional domain partner.
• Users must accurately provide their date of birth during onboarding.
• Users must comply with identity confirmation if their account is flagged as potentially underage.
Kampus Konnect does not allow:
• High school students
• Minors attempting to bypass age restrictions
• Adults attempting to help minors access the app
• Accounts managed or operated by parents or guardians on behalf of minors
How Kampus Konnect Verifies Age
Kampus Konnect uses multiple layers of verification to prevent minors from accessing
the platform.
1. Student Email Verification (.edu)
• A valid and active .edu email or approved institutional domain is required.
• Email verification ensures the user is currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
2. In-App Age Declaration
• All users must enter their date of birth.
• Any entry that signals under 18 results in immediate denial of access.
3. Detection of Minor-Like Content
Kampus Konnect automatically monitors and flags:
• Photos with visible signs of minor-aged appearance
• Language indicating high school status
• References to parental control, prom, high school activities, etc.
Flagged accounts undergo manual review.
4. Manual Review for Suspicious or Flagged Accounts
Human moderators review:
• Photos
• Profile descriptions
• Messages (ONLY when reported by a user — KK does not perform invasive
monitoring)Behavior patterns that may indicate a minor
If moderators determine the user is underage or attempting to bypass systems, the account is removed immediately.
5. Member Reports of Potential Minors
Kampus Konnect relies on its community to keep the platform safe.
Members can report:
• Accounts that appear too young
• Users claiming to be minors
• Suspicious behavior suggesting someone is underage
Every report is reviewed by trained moderators.
Prohibited Content & Behavior Related to Minors
The following are strictly prohibited. Violations lead to immediate removal and mandatory reporting.
1. Absolutely Prohibited
• Creating an account while under 18
• Using a false birthdate to appear 18+
• Uploading photos as a minor or of minors
• Impersonating a college student to gain access
• Adults attempting to contact or lure minors
• Asking another user if they know someone younger
• Sharing sexual content with or about minors
• Requesting sexual content from anyone who appears underage
2. Zero-Tolerance for Exploitation or Grooming
Any of the following triggers immediate account termination and reporting:
• Attempting to move conversations off-platform with a suspected minor
• Asking for sensitive images
• Offering money, gifts, or compensation to a suspected minor
• Predatory or manipulative behavior targeting young users
• Attempting to help minors create accounts
Enforcement Actions
Kampus Konnect uses a tiered enforcement system — with zero tolerance for child safety violations.
1. Immediate Permanent Removal (Zero Tolerance)
Used when:
• A user is confirmed to be under 18
• An adult attempts to groom, solicit, or exploit
• A minor attempts to create multiple accounts
• Child sexual content is involved in any capacity
During the investigation:
• The account is locked
• Users cannot log in
• Moderators may request proof of student status or age
If evidence confirms the user is 18+, the account is restored.
If evidence confirms they are a minor, the account is permanently removed.
Reporting to Authorities
Kampus Konnect is legally required — and ethically obligated — to report confirmed or suspected child exploitation.
All qualifying incidents are reported to:
1. NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children)
Required under U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
2. Local Law Enforcement
Depending on the jurisdiction and urgency.
Reports may include:
• Screenshots or evidence provided by users
• Account information
• User conversations (ONLY if included in a report — KK does not scrape or scan
messages)
• IP addresses or device identifiers when required by law
Messaging, Photo, and Content Restrictions to Protect Minors
To prevent exploitation or inappropriate conduct, KK prohibits:
• Sharing of nude or sexualized images of any individual
• Sharing images of minors in swimwear, underwear, compromising poses, or unsafe contexts
• Attempting to guess or ask for a younger user's age
• Attempting to move a suspected minor off-platform
• Uploading images of high school settings, classrooms, lockers, graduation gowns, or underage events
What to Do If You Encounter a Suspected Minor
If a user believes they have encountered someone underage:
Step 1: Stop all interaction immediately
Do not continue the conversation.
Step 2: Report the account using the in-app reporting tools
Use “Report User” and select “Minor Suspected.”
Step 3: Provide as much detail as possible
• Why you believe they’re underage
• Screenshots
• Statements made by the user
Step 4: Block the user
Protect your own account experience.
KK investigates every report.
College-Specific Safety Notes
Although the app is 18+:
• College freshmen who recently turned 18 may appear younger; all require a .edu email
• Users should avoid referencing high school activities to prevent misidentification
• If you suspect someone is a high school student attending on-campus events, report the profile
• Students should never provide access to their KK account to younger siblings or minors
• Campus RAs, coaches, or staff should not allow minors to access the platform using shared devices or campus networks
Enforcement Transparency
Kampus Konnect reserves the right to:
• Lock or remove any account that threatens platform safety
• Request additional proof of enrollment or age
• Restrict certain features during an investigation
• Share relevant information with authorized agencies during mandatory reporting
Appeals Process
Users may appeal enforcement outcomes only if:
• They are 18+
• They can verify enrollment
• Their account was mistakenly flagged
KK will not reinstate accounts for:
